Caring for an ill or disabled child can be physically and emotionally tough, and you may find it helpful to talk to parents in a similar situation. Being able to get support from other parents and to offer support where possible will help you to feel less isolated.

Support for parents and carers of children and young people who have a disability or who have additional needs is available throughout the borough through a wide range of organisations. You may prefer to attend face to face support groups, coffee mornings or you may find on-line forums helpful.

You may be at the start of your journey as a parent carer or several years down the line. In all cases, Warrington Parents and Carers Forum is here to help signpost you to the right support. We will also work with families and young people to ensure your experiences and views are taken into account by service commissioners and providers.
