World Mental Health Day ‘Mental Health in an unequal World’

This Sunday 10th October 2021 is World Mental Health Day and the theme this year is ‘Mental Health in an unequal world’.

During and as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that things have been particularly difficult for our children and young people with SEND and their parents/carers. It is more important than ever to take care of our mental wellbeing, as well as our physical health.

This year’s theme aims to highlight inequalities in Mental Health care services around the world and the importance of reaching out and supporting others.

Inequalities impact negatively on people’s mental health and the stigma and discrimination experienced by someone with mental health problems can affect many areas of their lives.

Everyone has a role to play in challenging mental health stigma, which is why WarrPAC are supporting World Mental Health Day ‘Mental health care for all: Let’s make it a reality’ 💚
